CHERRY ORCHARD BMX TRACK OFFICIALLY OPENED

It’s official, BMX has a new track based at Unit 64 in Cherry Orchard Business Park in Dublin West.
Last evening at a gala opening in the complex attended by Minster Michael Ring cut the ribbon as six young and upcoming youngsters showed their skills to a packed audience. (Whilst later on it was a hive of activity after the opening). They simply marvelled at this development and echoed their approval as a worthwhile amenity in the area.
Two of the participants that I spoke were Autumn and Bronte Collins who have taken to the sport like a duck to water. “Both of us love cycling, but this new fad is great and it is an ideal place to meet youngsters of our own age” said Autumn.
On site also was Geoff Liffey Chief Executive of Cycling Ireland. “Fabulous amenity for children and parents. Whilst the kids are booting around the 30meter course, they can relax in the lounge or watch from the viewing area overlooking the track.,” said Geoff.
Plus of course it was the ingenuity of Liam Collins of Cycling Pursuits who made it happen. “BMX was popular many years ago, but in recent years there has been a greater awareness about cycling in general.
