Dylan Clayton Coaching Clinic at Cherry Orchard BMX

Friday 13th & Saturday 14th April 2012

If you race, would like to race or just want to be better at riding your bike you should get down to Cherry Orchard BMX Track on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th of April for some expert coaching from both Sam Foakes & Dylan Clayton.

 

Sam Foakes is the BMX Development Manager at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester

 

Dylan Clayton is a highly skilled rider as well as a highly respected coach. Dylan has racked up seven UK National Championships, been European Champion four times and an amazing three times World Champion! Dylan is actively involved in writing and delivering the handbook for the British Cycling Level 2 BMX Coaching – The first discipline specific BMX coaching course in the world.

Coaching Schedule:

 

Clinic No.1

Date: Friday 13th April
Time: 12pm to 3pm (3 hours)
Age Group: Under 16’s ONLY
Details: This session is aimed at youth racers, with numbers restricted to twenty people. Riders will have two hours of track time, 30 minutes of class work with a 30 minute break during this session.

 

In addition to the coaching provided at this clinic, both Sam and Dylan will attend Round 3 of the Spring League that Friday night to observe the riders they have coached during the day. Feedback will also be provided on an individual basis.

 

Clinic No.2

Date: Saturday 14th April
Time: 11am to 12pm (1 hour)
Age Group: Open to all age groups
Details: Gate Practice. This clinic will focus solely on Starting Gate Practice.

 

Clinic No.3

Date: Saturday 14th April
Time: 2pm to 5pm (3 hour)
Age Group: Over 16’s ONLY
Details: This session is aimed at Adult and Experienced riders. You will have two hours of track time, 30 minutes of class work with a 30 minutes break during this session.
